Why are we doing this? Don’t we already have enough funds?
- While God has blessed First Naz in these last few years by doubling our children’s ministry and leading 300 people to follow Jesus, there is Far More work to be done.
- This is why we have named the Vision for the next two years Far More, inspired by Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 3:20-21: “Now to him who is able to do FAR MORE abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”
- We are praying and believing that God wants to do Far More in three categories in our church. • FAR MORE FAITH • FAR MORE FOR OUR FAMILY • FAR MORE FOR OUR FUTURE
- Our annual budget covers the cost of the routine operations of our church and its ministries of worship, growth, and service. However, it doesn’t cover future needs, major renovations, or special projects that make for a truly thriving church.
What are you asking me to do?
- We are asking that you make a sacrificial commitment so we can experience God’s ‘Far More’ in the life of our congregation.
- As a first step, we are asking that you PRAY, LISTEN & RESPOND to God’s leading on what He is asking of you. Join a small group. Talk with a trusted friend or, if you’re married and have children, talk together about what this commitment will mean for this next season.
How long is this commitment?
- We are asking everyone who calls First Nazarene their church home to make a two-year commitment—24 months of giving.
- The fulfillment period for commitments begins on March 9, 2025 and concludes February 28, 2027.
- Every gift given during this time will go toward the Far More Vision fund to support this vision.
What if I am brand new to First Nazarene or haven’t given before?
- The FAR MORE vision is what we believe God has for our church family. We believe that the local church is one of the most compelling missions to give toward, and we would really love for you to make First Nazarene Church your home. If you are ready for it, this is a perfect time for you to put a stake in the ground and make this your church. We need you!
- If you’ve never given before or only given occasionally, this is your chance to see how God will use your gifts and how you can be transformed through this obedience.
What are the construction phases and how long is this expected to take?
This will require 3 phases of construction:
- Phase One : Summer 2025 (3-4 months)
- Preschool (9 classrooms)/Wilton Gym/Family Lobby/New Restrooms
- Phase Two : Fall 2025 (3-4 months)
- Elevator/North exterior/North Hallway & Offices
- Phase Three : Winter/Spring 2026 (3-4 months)
- Back of Cerrato classrooms/Bell Road exterior
Are we raising all of the money first? When does construction start?
- Currently we wish to begin construction in the summer of 2025, however we will have a better sense of if this is possible based on initial offerings and commitments made to the campaign.
- If our goals stay on track a construction loan will be necessary to begin work. However, the Church Board has made the decision to approach this project without long-term debt. We expect any loans would be paid off with expanded giving within two years.
In addition to cash, are there other ways I can give more to the FAR MORE Vision?
- Be prayerful and creative as you explore ways you can give to the initiative. You may have stored resources that God has blessed you with in the past that He is calling you to give out of during this time. (e.g., Stock, property, or other items of value)
